I hate tomatoes. So, I was excited when I saw only a couple pick-outables in my salad today.
NO! The little red evils were hiding right under my lettuce! And there were a ton of them!
Peh. Pfft. Plllleeeecchhh. Pah. Phhh. Fffff. Yuck.
Look, tomatoes. No pico de gallo, no me gusta. That's how it works. Stay the heck away from my mouth!

Oh yeah. I'll eat tomatoes in pico, salsa, and sometimes in other dishes, but by themselves? YUCKY.

I don't like tomatoes either, but I love all tomato-based products. Pasta sauce, salsa, ketchup...all of that is great, but the actual fruit? Squishy red thing full of gooey seeds and near flavorless pulp? Pass.

Sometimes I wish we could go back to the 16th century when people thought they were poisonous.

I hate tomatoes that are in our supermarkets, but I absolutely love home-grown ones; therefore, I only eat tomatoes in the Summer months which is now. I live in Southern Colorado where it's easy to grow them, unlike the Northern part of the state.
